Don't recommend the house salad at the burger bar, it's um a bunch of carrots on some leafs with a teaspoon of dressing. Numerous things that we ordered they were out of. when you order breakfast sausage that is what you expect not 13$ (plus all those fees) of disgusting Italian sausage.
I ordered room service breakfast, it would have been great had they NOT PUT PIZZA SAUSAGE IN MY OMELET. Never found a couple of places within the building, asked staff and always was told "it's out on the floor", duh I know that but where!? They need a layout map like other hotels to point their customers in the right direction. I understand the tactics of limited channels on the TV, push you out on that floor, but most adults don't need 4 cartoon channels. I don't recommend smoking in the rooms unless you want to be suffocated.
Even though, yes I'm a smoker, the whole point of the smoking room was to not have to walk down every time, the bathroom has zero exhaust. That’s good stuff!įirst, the room we had was nice over all and the staff was very friendly, the fact that it is a smoking room without any type of ventilation or fans is absolutely insane. If you are at the Horseshoe and got a hankering for a cheeseburger, check out the burger bar in the back of the casino. When I go anywhere, I want to feel welcomed and appreciated. This was at the three locations we visited. The staff was rude, showed no sign of hospitality, and they made it very evident that they don’t care. Not only at the Horseshoe, but also at Gold Strike, Hollywood, & 1st Jackpot. I noticed a big difference with the staff. Specific to the Horseshoe: the hotel needs to be clean! The rooms are beautifully done, but dirty. It’s sad to see what’s happening to Tunica & I hope they turn it around. Unfortunately, it is becoming very evident over the years how Harrah’s and all of the other property owners are neglecting certain aspects of their properties. I may not have won anything, but I had fun. At least it leaves more margin for error in good times. The casino floor at the Horseshoe Tunica was very clean. I guess it is easier to manage a business in good times than it is in bad times. I surmise that CET, locally in Tunica, must pay for the million dollar giveaway each Saturday someway. Gail and I received no mailers from CET for the month of May. The casinos are having a tough time, I guess. MgM Mirage (Gold Strike) had made enough money to play stockholders a penny a share. I noticed on the first quarter financial reports that Caesars Entertainment was 20 Billion dollars in debt so I see why there was no smoked salmon. We ate at the Horseshoe buffet on Sunday and I was disappointed because there was no smoked salmon. We also ate at the atrium which has become our favorite eating establishment in Tunica. Their new buffet sounds good and the artist renderings I have seen of it looks like it is going to be a very nice buffet. It was seafood night and I ate a couple of whole lobsters among a lot of other stuff.
We ate at the Gold Strike buffet on Saturday night and It did not take long to be seated although the line looked long.
